Founded in 2001 by experts in PEG synthesis and PEGylation, JenKem Technology specializes in GMP manufacture of high-purity, low polydispersity polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivatives, PEG co-polymers, monodisperse PEGs, custom PEG derivative synthesis and PEGylation services, along with manufacture of lipids for LNPs and fatty acid side chains.
JenKem Technology’s products support 27 commercial drugs, vaccines, and medical devices, and more than 90 other innovative drug and medical device projects worldwide in various clinical stages, as of 2025.
Capabilities
Development and manufacture of a wide range of PEG derivatives and PEG co-polymer derivatives with high purity and low polydispersity, in batch sizes of 1g to 100Kg, under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified Quality Management System, following ICH Q7 guidelines for GMP manufacture. Large scale and GMP manufacturing offered on a made-to-order basis, with flexibility to match customers’ specifications.
Controlled manufacture of raw polyethylene glycol polymers via polymerization of ethylene oxide, with annual capacity of hundreds of tons of high-quality raw PEGs, which enables facile traceability for PEG derivatives manufacture from these raw materials. The new Liaoning plant operational since Q4 2023 is capable to manufacture PEG raw materials with batch sizes of 10Kg-1000Kg.
Custom synthesis of activated and raw PEGs (Y-Shaped, Linear Methoxy, Homobifunctional, Heterobifunctional, Multi-arm and Multi-arm Heterobifunctional), Monodisperse (Discrete) PEGs, Biodegradable PEG Co-Polymers such as PEG-PLGA, PEG-PLA, PEG-PCL, and other block co-polymers, PEG Lipids, Lipids, PEG Fatty Acids, Fatty Acid side chains, and PEG GPC Standards.
Services include custom PEGylation of proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides, and small molecules; and conjugation of PEGs to other polymer systems, and LNP formulation services.
Online ordering of JenKem® catalog PEG products is available on our website, with global distribution of JenKem® PEG products direct from JenKem Technology China facilities. Many research grade PEG derivatives are sold through a collaboration with MilliporeSigma, listed in their catalog and on their website and identified as being a product of JenKem Technology.
